Sales Order Maintenance is the centralized management interface for creating, editing, and controlling all aspects of customer sales orders within a warehouse management system. It serves as the command center for outbound order operations, providing complete visibility and control over the order lifecycle.

Unlike basic order entry systems that only capture initial order data, Sales Order Maintenance provides ongoing management capabilities throughout the order's journey. This includes modifying order details, managing product lines, applying or releasing holds, updating shipping addresses, and tracking order status from creation through fulfillment.

Key Distinction

While Sales Order Entry focuses on initial order creation, Sales Order Maintenance enables full lifecycle management - allowing modifications, holds, address changes, and product adjustments at any point before shipment.

JASCI's Sales Order Maintenance is typically accessed through the Outbound menu under Order Management. It provides a tabbed interface for managing different aspects of each order: Order details, Products, Ship To addresses, and Holds - giving warehouse teams complete control over every order.

In the 'Products' tab, click the green 'Add Line' button for each product you want to add. For each line, select the pencil icon to edit, enter the product SKU and quantity, then set the Action to INSERT. You can add as many product lines as needed.

QWhat information can I see in the Work Detail view?

Work Detail provides a comprehensive view of the order including all product lines, quantities ordered vs. picked, current order status, assigned pick tasks, and fulfillment progress. It's useful for tracking orders through the warehouse workflow.

QCan I duplicate an existing order for a repeat customer?

While there isn't a direct duplicate button, you can quickly create similar orders by searching for the customer, clicking 'New Order', and then manually adding the same product lines. For frequently repeated orders, consider setting up standing orders or order templates.

QHow do I handle partial shipments or split orders?

JASCI supports partial shipments through inventory allocation. If not all items are available, the system can allocate available inventory and create backorders for remaining quantities. You can also manually adjust line quantities or split orders as needed through the Products tab.
