What is Customer Maintenance?
Customer Maintenance is the master data management function for customer records in JASCI. It's where you create, search, and edit the customer information that drives accurate order fulfillment—addresses, contacts, special instructions, and preferences.
Every sales order needs a customer. The Customer Maintenance screen lets you define customers once and reference them across all orders. When address or preference information changes, update it in one place and all future orders inherit the changes.
Special Instructions Flow Through
Customer-level special instructions appear during packing and shipping. Notes like "Call before delivery" or "Dock 4 only" are visible to warehouse operators at the right time—ensuring compliance without manual lookup.
Access Customer Maintenance from Order Management → Customer Maintenance. Use the search to find existing customers or click "New" to create records. All standard address and contact fields are supported, plus custom preferences.

Open Customer Maintenance
Navigate to Order Management → Customer Maintenance from the outbound menu.
Search or Create
Search for existing customers or click "New" to create a new record.
Enter Customer ID
Provide a unique Customer ID. This links to sales orders and shipping.
Add Address
Enter complete shipping address with all required fields.
Add Contact Info
Enter contact name, phone, and email for delivery coordination.
Set Preferences
Add special instructions and pallet type. Save the customer record.
