What is Restock Putaway?
Restock Putaway is a transfer of inventory from one location to another specifically for the purpose of replenishing primary (PRIME) pick locations. It's the "put" half of the restock replenishment process.
Unlike general putaway which may place inventory anywhere in the warehouse, Restock Putaway is laser-focused on keeping forward-pick locations stocked. After a Restock Pick creates the inventory (pulled from reserve), Restock Putaway directs that inventory to the exact primary location where pickers need it.
Why "Primary" Locations Matter
Primary (PRIME) pick locations are the active slots where pickers fill orders. They're typically at ergonomic heights, in organized pick paths, and optimized for velocity. Restock Putaway ensures these high-value locations never run dry.
The workflow is intentionally simple: scan the LPN to identify the product, follow the system's direction to the right location, scan to confirm you're there, place the product, done. Three scans, zero guesswork.

Access the RESTOCK option from the mobile device menu.
Scan LPN
Scan the LPN label on the inventory to putaway. JASCI identifies the product and destination.
Go to Location
Travel to the assigned primary pick location displayed on screen.
Scan Location
Scan the location barcode to confirm you're at the right spot. Error if wrong location.
Place Product
Physically place the inventory into the primary pick location.
Complete
Putaway is complete. System updates inventory. Ready for next task.
