How It Works

Smart lookup process validates returns in six steps

Scan Input

Team member scans tracking number or RMA barcode on mobile device.

Check RMA First

System queries work type headers by order ID. If valid work type match found, proceed.

Check Tracking

If no RMA match, query work type shipments by tracking number. Link to work control number.

Smart Trim

If tracking not found, retry with rightmost 22 characters to handle extended barcodes.

Validate Assignment

Check if work is OPEN or already assigned to this team member. Block if assigned elsewhere.

Update & Continue

Populate shared data with order details, update work status to WORKING, proceed to next task.

Work Status Handling

Intelligent status validation prevents conflicts and ensures proper assignment

OPEN

Work is available. Team member can claim and process the return.

Assign to team member and proceed

WORKING (Same User)

Already assigned to current team member. Can continue processing.

Resume work and proceed

WORKING (Other User)

Assigned to different team member. Cannot claim.

Display "Work already assigned" error

Invalid Work Type

Record found but work type not valid for returns processing.

Display "Invalid input" error

Auto-Populated Data

Once a valid return is identified, the system automatically populates all relevant data into the shared data area for downstream processing tasks.

Priority Code:Processing priority classification
