Define system codes once, use everywhere. Departments, colors, seasons, sizes, styles, and any custom classification you need—all managed from a single interface.
Application-Specific Codes
Organize codes by application area (Inventory, Control, System). Each code belongs to a specific application context for clean organization.
Multi-Language Support
Automatic integration with the Language table. New codes are created in English and ready for translation to any supported language.
Custom Attributes
Add up to 10 control attributes per code for extended functionality. Define custom description/value pairs for specialized business logic.
Menu Integration
New code types automatically create menu options for assignment. System administrators can enable code maintenance directly from the menu system.
Help Text & Documentation
Up to 5 help text fields per code provide contextual guidance. Mouse-over any code to see its documentation in a popup.

How It Works
Simple code management in six steps
Access General Codes
Navigate to the General Codes menu option. System administrators see all code types; users see assigned code maintenance screens.
Select or Create Code Type
Choose an existing Code Identification to manage its values, or click New to create a new code type with application assignment.
Define Code Attributes
Enter short/long descriptions, help text, and any custom control attributes needed for your business logic.
Add Code Values
Populate the code type with individual values. Each value can have its own description, system use flag, and attributes.
Enable Menu Access
The system automatically creates menu options for new code types. Assign to user menus for self-service maintenance.
Use in Dropdowns
Codes immediately appear in dropdowns throughout the system. Users see descriptions with help text on mouse-over.
